They have closed permanently. This is heartbreaking to hear but we all wish them the best and thank them for their years of love!

Home style southern deliciousness. Just go. Brisket tends to sell out, so go early. Have tried the meat combo and the pan fried snapper (blackened was also good) and they were enjoyed, still good the next day. Sweet yams were outstanding! Oh, and the corn bread...must eat. Customer service was excellent. Plenty of desserts available but yet to have one.

We are visiting a friend in Cali from Louisiana, and he insisted on taking us to Chez Soul. It is an authentic taste of Louisiana, specializing in Southern comfort food. If you're craving down-home Southern-style cooking, this is the place to be! Here's a breakdown of some of their delicious offerings: I had the Greens cooked to perfection with savory seasonings. They're a classic Southern side dish that pairs well with any main course. I also delighted in the Yams- they were sweet, tender. They're sure to satisfy your taste buds. I started out with the Gumbo - it was rich and hearty with a flavorful roux. Chez Soul's gumbo is worth trying! Topped it off with the Cornbread - No Southern meal is complete without cornbread. Chez Soul's version is likely golden, slightly sweet, and served warm. We had other meals at the table but I can only tell you about what I experienced. No one complained about the food The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a great dining experience. We had a server named Emon (not sure if I spelled it right), and he took exceptional care of us. The restaurant and the restroom were very clean. Next time you're in Fairfield, consider visiting Chez Soul for a taste of Southern goodness!

Was in the area to visit my niece and I was craving southern cuisine so I stopped by this place. I came in and ordered the southern fried chicken plate with two legs / thighs and got a side of Mac and cheese, collard greens, and cornbread. The wait was a little long considering there were only two other people eating in the restaurant... But despite the long wait, the food was bussin and the portion size will keep you full. The fried chicken was crunchy and moist. The Mac and cheese had the right amount of cheeseness to it. The collar greens and cornbread was also very good. This is a decent spot to go to if you want to get full off of southern cuisine. One warning though that I would give to those before going here is that the area is a lil sketch with a few homeless people walking around it.
